Hope you are doing well. WHy does this site exist? Because you may think it does not work, so I am here to explain it for you
1. What is a Subdomain?
A subdomain is a human readable linkt to an IP Adress
2. WHat is an IP Adress?
It is a Link to a server in the Internet. HOWEVER:
There are 2 Types of IPs
Indirect IPs:
Mouch of the internet runs on Indirect IPs. These are Ips where many servers are using the same ip, and the name of the Domain says where to go
Freedomain.meme is NOT Build for these types of ips. (For example, all of Cloudflare ips are these)
2. Direct IPs
These are IPs where only 1 server goes to that IP and not more
A large amount of Homeservers and selfhosted sites run via these.
Freedomain.meme is Build for THIS type of site.
So, what now?
A) For testing, please use the ip 159.69.186.172 OR your ip if you have selfhosted something
B) The Domain name needs up to 30 minutes to update.
I CAN NOT make it faster, as this is needed by Namecheap to update theyr servers.
This is One time and most of the time The domain is ready in smaller than 5 minutes
But worst case scenario: 30 minutes. Please wait a bit and check back then if it works.
C) It does NOT Auto-generate a certificate
If you want to see if it has worked, goto Here
Input your domain name afther waiting for a bit
And see if the IP wich is displayed as "Data" matches the ip you put into.
If yes, Freedomain.meme worked
D) But why doesnt the domain work if I put it in?
All modern sites Block 3rd Party domains. Why? Because you could in theory Cut the Credentials of the users from theyr request.
So, Randomly putting any ip from any server does sadly not work.
I will try to auto - certificate all domains pointing to 159.69.186.172 to display a test site but i dont know if this works.
